After 3 weeks of tasting and judging the results fo the 25th Berliner Wine Trophy are in! Due to the fact that the competition has a summer and a winter edition, in 2021, almost 15,000 wines have been submitted to Berlin.

In the late summer edition (proponed due covid developments), 6.053 wine were entered and 1.830 medals were awarded.

Großes Gold / Grand Gold: 19 wines
Gold / Gold: 1.702 wines
Silber / Silver: 109 wines

This edition the judging panel contained of 154 judges from 32 different countries from all over the world. It was great again to be a part of the panel of judges again for this great competition!

Old wine world counties like Germany, Italy, Spain, France won medals but also new world wine countries like South Africa, Australia, Chile, New Zealand and the USA were awarded. It is very nice to mention that wines from ‘unknown’ and undiscovered countries were also awarded prizes. What do you think of Canada, China, Croatia, Georgia, Greece, Luxemburg / Moldova, South Korea and Turkey.

And also this year there were 3 wines awarded from The Netherlands!
