In Strasbourg there is a very special wine competition. It is the only one in the world under the patronage of the international vine and wine organization (OIV) entirely dedicated to the diversity of the white wines. Last summer I already reported on this competition and now I would like to set a focus point on the 2021 results again and to announce the 2022 edition.
The results of the 2021 edition
In 2021 there were 70 experts wine judges from 21 countries, who judges 660 samples from 20 countries for 12 competing categories. Several special prices where given such as the Grand Prix du Jury & the VINOFED Prize.
In total 185 medals were given of which 81 Gold Medals & 104 Silver Medals.
In Strasbourg they have several partnerships like with the Lycée Hôtelier Alexandre Dumas and the AIVA – Académie Internationale du Vin d’Alsace. Their sommelier students and the MBA judges students had an opportunity to meet up with the international judges for their professional career.
